REFLEXOLOGY

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a method of stimulating the body’s healing mechanisms through massage of certain reflex points on the feet and occasionally the palms of the hands. The therapy, derived from ancient Chinese and Indian diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, is based on the idea that the organs of the body are represented on the feet, making them a vital map of the body.

How does reflexology work?

Reflexology works by applying pressure to the feet by finger and thumb, in order to improve health, relieve pain and promote relaxation. Reflexologists believe that certain zones on the feet, hands and ears correspond to various glands, organs and muscles located elsewhere in the body. When pressure is applied to these zones, people claim to experience beneficial health effects.

What does reflexology benefit?

Reflexology treatment can help healing illnesses and also promote relaxation and overall well-being. Another benefit of foot reflexology is that it can take away stiffness and pain triggered by too much exercising o using of the muscles for too long. It can also boost the circulation system. It is said that foot reflexology will help the body return to its usual functioning.
